I Am Enough

Chances are there has been a time in your life when it has felt or is feeling like there is just one storm after another swirling around your life. Everyday has brought or is bringing more difficult challenges that seem hard to overcome. You may even feel like you are drowning. I’ve been there and it is one of the hardest things to get beyond. But even when we feel that we are sinking, God is for us… He is on our side moving us forward for his good… The good news is that even though we feel like we are going down… God is holding us up…
Paul writes about such things in his letter to the Roman church. And what he argues here is that If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies (Romans 8:31-33).
If God didn’t even spare his Son the cross… then how could anything in this world keep us from his love and direction? If we continue to turn our eyes on Him who has overcome this world, even though we may be in the biggest storm of our lives, He will continue to move in mighty ways before us.
Maverick City Music wrote this song a couple of years ago that says Going through a storm but I won't go down. I hear Your voice carried in the rhythm of the wind to call me out. You would cross an ocean so I wouldn't drown. You've never been closer than You are right now. You are Jireh, You are enough. Jireh, You are enough and I will be content in every circumstance. You are Jireh, You are enough. Forever enough. Always enough. More than enough (Jireh).
The God of the universe loves you and me enough to cross the ocean of our troubles so that we won’t drown. Reach out to him today… Through the storm… Through the struggle…
He is more than enough and always enough for our struggles so that he might use them for his good.
Jireh from Maverick City
