I Look to You

Vision can be a tricky thing. They say hindsight is 20/20… We spend so much time trying to look toward the future… Looking for solutions to the problems of today… Looking for lost things… Looking for peace…
We use the analogy of vision and sight to describe so many facets of life. But what if we are in a place where we don’t know where to look… Our sight is focused on the struggle or the pain… We may not have a clear vision for the future… Unsure where to go… Stuck…
The reality is you are not alone… So many in this world feel the same as you do… The hope seems far off… But what if we just need corrective lenses? A change of our vision…
The psalmist understood a need to change the field of vision… He writes, I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip (Psalm 121:1-3a)
It is the understanding that the one who made the heavens and earth, is the same one that will not let you fall… It is a change of focus and becomes a cry to say: God, I look to You, I won't be overwhelmed. Give me vision to see things like You do. God, I look to You, You're where my help comes from. Give me wisdom, You know just what to do (Bethel Music)….
Are we crying out for God to give us His vision forward… To step out in faith and understand that The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:7-8)
He will watch over all the days of your life… When the road seems unclear… God sees the path forward… His foresight is always 20/20… He is our strength and our shield… May it be our cry for his vision on our path into what is next so that we may say…
